Shelby’s work explores the relationship between material, memory and emotion, creating spaces that are felt as much as they are seen. Her practice is characterised by a refined yet expressive approach to materiality, embracing rich textures, sculptural forms and a deep sensitivity to atmosphere.

Influenced by Australia’s landscapes and the way environments shape human experience, Shelby approaches each project as a narrative—balancing restraint with warmth, permanence with imagination. She sees design as a collaborative process, uncovering the memories, rituals and personal histories that give each home its own identity.
Working closely with her clients, Shelby creates spaces that reflect the people who live in them while celebrating the beauty of natural materials, thoughtful craftsmanship and enduring design.

Backed by a Bachelor of Design (Architecture), a Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours) and a Master of Architecture, Shelby combines a strong technical foundation with a considered design approach. Her experience in residential architecture and interiors allows her to thoughtfully guide projects from concept through to documentation, creating homes that are both beautiful and enduring.
